Vinnie's birthday!!

My sweet little Vinnie Boy is 22 today. Goodness how time flies. Making his favorite dinner. Slow cooked tri tip, potato casserole, and salad. He asked for pink champagne cake, but couldn't find one so got another kind instead.

Doing good on Jack's afghan. Only a few more rows, then the border and weaving in the ends. Hopefully by the end of the week it will be done. Finished a green beanie. Was going to send it to the soldiers, but it has alot of acrylic in it, which the soldiers can not use. So going to give it to my SIL. Will start a couple of black beanies for the soldiers.

Having a baby shower for DD and Ezmy on Sun. So busy cleaning, planning games etc.

Back soon.

Progress and new projects!

Have been crocheting on Uncle Jack's ghan. Is coming along nicely. I'm not quite half way done. Will post pics it's finished.

I have decided to start knitting caps for the soldiers overseas. I have joined Socks for Soldiers. I don't knit socks, but I can send caps instead. Here's the link to see what it's all about. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SOCKFORSOLDIERS/

I am so cold today. Found out the heater has been turned off all day. lol. Think I did it and forgot to turn it back on. Could have been one of the boys. Yeah, it was one of the boys!!

Starting another one!

I'm going to make an afghan for my Uncle Jack. He was recently diagnosed with colin cancer. He lives in Northern CA and I rarely get to see him. But want him to know I am thinking of him.
Was thinking about using the die to decide the number of rows of each color, but now not so sure, may just do 3 rows of each color.

Blue afghan.

Here is a comfort afghan I knitted for a friend at church. Her son is in Iraq.

I just knitted back and forth until it was the length I wanted. I used 3 1/2 skeins of Lion Brand Homespun, the color is Montana. Size 15 needles.

Ezme is here!!!

I have a new granddaughter!!
Esmeralda Kaye made her appearance on New Year's Eve. She is beautiful, just like big brother and big sister!! You can see her yellow blanket I made for her to have in the hospital. It has bunnies and hearts worked into the pattern.
